4 tips to Getting Baby to Sleep at Night
We are all well aware of how quality baby sleep is an essential basis for his health and development. This is just one of the main reasons getting baby to sleep at night is a MUST in the parenting books. The pleasure in seeing a baby sleep is hardly measurable but having to see and hear him cry all night is torture for a parent.
Here is some professional and personal guidance that I used as aids on my journey to having an independently sleeping baby from 1 year old.
1. Wind your baby down. A fuss-free routine will assist in establishing your baby's sleep pattern and in turn will provide a more content child at night.
- Choose the same time every night to put baby to bed. If you want your baby to be in bed sleeping by 8pm then begin the routine 20 minutes before eight.
- Dim the lights and set the mood for winding down. This will let your baby know it is almost time for sleep.
- A quiet atmosphere with little noise
- Rock you baby or cuddle for a while. Do not feed your baby at this time. Dinner should be finished before bedtime. Ensure he has been fed before winding down time.
- Take baby to his cot/crib, keeping lights in his room dim. Sing a lullaby, then say goodnight. If you need to stay in the room with the baby for a while do not talk to him and do not have any eye contact. Eye contact and vocal sounds from mom and dad arouses your child’s attention.
- For a toddler you can give a bath and or a baby massage, then a story (with cuddles), then off to bed. Sing a lullaby. Then say goodnight.
The above routine, which ever you choose, MUST be adhered to every night, by any person that puts your child to bed. When you accomplish this, hassle free, parents are halfway to getting baby to sleep at night - nightmare free.
2. Lil' light, lavender and Music Lavender essential oil and music are a fabulous combination to relax and sooth the senses. Your baby is no different. Simply do the following:
- sprinkle a FEW drops of lavender essential oil on his pillow. Take care to close the bottle tightly and put in away where baby can't reach it.
- Play Soft, soothing music for him, preferably orchestra music. Do this before you read the story or sing a lullaby so your baby can begin to relax.
- Put a nightlight in the baby's room so he doesn’t feel afraid as much when you are not there. Using an aquarium as a Night Light is an idea worth looking into. Your baby can watch the fish as he falls asleep.
3. Baby reverse psychology. This is for a baby who is old enough to understand a bit of what you are saying to him. It’s a little but it can go a long way.
4. Afternoon Snooze. Babies and naptime go hand in hand. A baby that has a nap in the afternoon is better rested for the remainder of his busy day. He will eat better, listen better and learn better. He will have more positive energy and be a lot less cranky. But this tip also enables your child to sleep better at night because his body and brain are not on overload, yet tired enough to fall asleep at the routine time mom and dad put him to bed.
With the above professional advice and personal tips, getting baby to sleep at night is one step closer. Remember, consistency is the key to making this task successful. All participants must adhere to the same above practices and be diligent but gentle and patient.

it depends on the wattage....look for one that has an LED and it will cost less than a dollar for the year. to answer you question it is roughly 10 cents a month or about $1.25 for the year.

5 Proven Arm Exercises
Some individuals look to arm exercises as a means of building strong, toned muscles while others are simply trying to firm up arms as a result of weight loss or age. Having sagging or flabby arms is a common problem. However, regardless of the goal, there are many things that can be done in the form of arm exercises to help. The following are five of the top arm exercises that can tone muscles and build stronger arms.
1. Standing Barbell - Arm exercises such as this are designed to build mass. Therefore, anyone interested in strong biceps and triceps will benefit. We suggest you use a straight bar, stand with your feet so they are placed flat on the ground about shoulder width apart, and then with an underhand grip, grasp the bar while making sure the hands are also a shoulder width apart. Slowly, the bar would be curled up while making sure the biceps are contracting. Make sure only the arms are moving and keep the elbows locked. Bring the bar to your chest and then slowly take it back down. Take your time on the way down in order to work the arms with the negative weight as well. Start with three sets, each of 10 repetitions and then slowly increase.
2. Incline Dumbbell Curls - Again, arm exercises like this are great for toning and building muscle. To start, sit on an incline bench and place a dumbbell in each hand. When first starting out, use five to fifteen pounds in weight, building over time to more. Then, with the elbows forward, curl the weight up toward the check, squeezing the bicep muscle in the process. Slowly, lower the dumbbell, again taking advantage of the negative weight.
3. Hammer Curl - Arm exercises like the Hammer Curl are similar in nature to the Incline Curl with the exception that a hammer grip is being used. In other words, you would go through the same process as you would on the incline bench but instead, hold the dumbbell as if holding onto a hammer. The other difference is for this arm exercise you need to sit rather than stand.
4. Modified Pushup - Arm exercises like this not only work the arms but also the shoulder, back, and abdomen. Lying on your stomach with the knees bend and ankles crossed, you would then bend your elbows slightly and keep your palms flat on the floor. With your neck and head aligned and facing the floor, slowly push the body up so the elbows become straight. Then, bend the elbows to bring your body back down to the lying position but without going all the way down on the floor. These arm exercises should start with three sets of six, slowly building to three sets of 20 or more.
5. Kick Backs - These arm exercises are excellent for building strong tricep muscles. Stand on the floor with a chair to your right. Then, place a dumbbell in the right hand. Place your feet about shoulder width apart, lean forward so the torso is at a 45-degree angle. Next, your left hand would be placed on the top of the chair. Bending the elbow on the Right Arm to make it parallel to the floor and palm inward, slowly straighten the arm behind the body. We suggest you begin with three sets of six repetitions, again building over time as the arms become stronger.

Many dogs can sense emotion. A lot of time by body language. Your posture and stance can say a LOT about how you feel and that's how dogs read you a lot of times. It's possible you also give off a difference in smell, just like when you're scared and your adrenaline's up. Scientifically, that's most likely how. But, that doesn't make it any less amazing when an animal is their to comfort you, knowing something is wrong, and wanting to be there for you in their own way.

6 Questions to Ask When Purchasing an Id Card Printer

1. Do you need to print on both sides of your photo ID card?

In general, laminating adds 4 to 5 years to the life of your card. These options might increase your initial costs, but overall are more likely to reduce your costs in situations of high use.

For the new ATI Radeon HD 2600 can you input tv into your computer?
It says that there is a AMD Xilleon HDTV integrated encoder which would "provide High Quality analog tv output". But I don't understand how it could do that. I know there is no actual cable jack on the card but could the cable have a adapter to make it DVI?
It means that it can provide 720p and/or 1080 (i and/or p) on the S-Video and component video outputs of the card.
So you can drive a non-HDMI HDTV at high res.

Hi def. Blu-ray and HD-DVD will not work over a DVI-D link without HDCP encryption. I do not know if they will put out a high def. signal on analog, but I suspect that they drop down to a 480p.

Ten Problems To Avoid With Business Cash Advances

When selling a used car on Craigslist, is it a good idea to do business CASH ONLY?
Even If I'm selling it for $4000? That's a lot of cash? Anyone sold a used car on craigslist before? Care to share your experiences so I don't get robbed/ripped off/scammed?

I've also been asked to provide the VIN (Vehicle Identification number) from some of the interested buyers. Is this a reasonable question on their end? Is this safe to share with individual interested buyers?
It wouldn't be a bad idea. But any other transaction you can verify...a direct bank transfer in person at the bank, a cashier's check that you witness the buyer purchasing at a bank...is just as safe.
Yes, requesting the VIN is perfectly reasonable. They want it so that they can check the car on Carfax. Not providing a VIN instantly rules your car out when I'm car shopping.
You should put the VIN in the ad, even.
It cannot be used for scamming YOU. Someone might use it to scam someone ELSE, or an insurance company...but they could use ANY VIN for that.
