The Joys of Condo Living Part - 2

What can I say I love to complain, it makes for good writing. I have a few more tips to expand from my first post about The Joys of Condo Living Part 1

This first one was provided by Chris, he is a good buddy of mine, Thanks Chris

Don’t throw your old flower vase water over the balcony. IT STINKS. Yeah and to add to this, when you live above someone else and you have hanging baskets, do you need to water them for 25 minutes just to watch the overflow water drip down on everyone else’s balcony’s below. Yeah that water does stink.

Condo By-Laws, there is nothing like following rules that were created 25 years ago, by people who don’t even live in the building anymore. I can understand that the rules are in place to keep order and peace, but really nobody follows them anyways. I wish someone would use the laundry room during posted laundry room hours.

This brings me to the Laundry Room, You realize that the Laundry room is for everyone, not just you right. Well at the very least follow the posted hours. So you get up nice and early to go do your laundry, and to be fair to everyone you follow the rules and head down to the laundry room at 8am only to find some jack ass with 10 kids has been in there for an hour already and has taken all the machines. Well if you do find a machine that is open, somebody has left their clothes in their for 2 days because they once again forgot that you know there are 100 other people trying to share 6 machines. I guess if you want to wear moldy clothes that is your problem, but I don’t want to be touching them if I have to use a washer or dryer.

The Parking Lot, we all have our designated parking spots and for the most part we all use them. But there is always that one person who decides to park in front of the door, where it clearly says no parking. For me not a big deal, but in most complexes their are elderly people with walkers and wheelchairs who have a hard enough time as it is getting around. C’mon people have some respect just because I walk around and easily get passed your car doesn’t mean everyone can. There is a reason that No Parking sign is there. Oh I forgot half these people can’t read anyways.

I have more about the parking lot. Is it really necessary to crank your stereo up to 200 decibels when you’re leaving the parking lot? I guess at 3am it is acceptable, because you’re so drunk you don’t give a crap about anyone who might be sleeping or for that matter anyone who is a light sleeper. People please its 10 seconds till you hit the street, can’t you wait that long to listen to your backstreet boys song anyways.

I’m fairly neigbourly at the best of times, but common sense tells me and should tell everyone that their are certain times when you shouldn’t strike up a 15 minute conversation with someone in your building. First thing in the morning when people are going to work and in the afternoon when people are coming home from work. I know you want to be a good neighbour and see how my day was, but to be honest with you at 6:30 am I am barely awake never mind trying to talk to a stranger about god knows what. The end of the day is the same, I’m tired, I’m hungry and all I want to do for an hour is watch some TV and numb my brain for awhile. Please lay off the talking till the weekends.

Well that all I have got for this week. If anyone leaves a suggestion for more condo living experiences leave a comment and I will be sure to add them to my next list.

Have a great weekend everybody
