When Surveillance Cameras Enter Your Bedroom and Your Intimate Affairs
Surveillance cameras have their good uses. Criminals have been caught and jailed based on undeniable video evidence, cheating spouses have been captured on film and forced to pay greater alimonies and child support for their ex-partners, and cops have been suspended for sexual harassment and physical mishandling of visitors and suspects alike. Just some of the few cases you read about that can convince you surveillance is good.
However, what do you do when surveillance cameras intrude upon your most private of private moments? How do you cope when intimate affairs are recorded in video and broadcasted for the entire Internet world to see?
How It Can Happen
Generally, surveillance cameras are used for Home Security and public security. You can install small and portable cameras in your house while the government sets up a surveillance system in your neighborhood ostensibly to deter crime and monitor traffic.
Imagine this scenario: Your partner transferred the cameras to your bedroom because he wants to videotape your bedroom shenanigans without your knowledge. After your bitter separation, he uploads the video over the Internet and it becomes a hit.
Or this: In the interest of adding spice to your relationship, you both agreed to place some of the wireless surveillance cameras inside your bedroom. One messy divorce later, you are faced with an Internet video showing you and your despised ex-partner in compromising positions.
Or this: Video surveillance operators across the street intersection videotaped your intimate moments for voyeuristic purposes. The same perverted individuals broadcasted the footage over the web.
In whatever way your lady parts came to be plastered all over the Internet, you must deal with the fall-out of other people's perversions.
How to Prevent and to Cope
Of course, prevention is always better than the cure. If possible, never allow your partner to videotape your intimate bedroom encounters; never install surveillance cameras in your bedroom no matter what you do; never perform live shows where your privacy can be compromised unless you are on a deserted island; never leave the windows open in any way, either in terms of locking it and closing the drapes; and never let your private videotapes lying anywhere.
However, unfortunate scenarios such as the abovementioned do happen. How to cope boils down to:
* Doing something concrete about your plight - filing complaints and lawsuits is a good first step. You can also seek professional help and your family's support.
* Forgetting about the past and not worrying about the future. You should take each day as it comes and live for the joys of the present. Learn to appreciate the small things in your life now - your ex-partner is paying you sums of money for alimony and for his bastardization of your relationship, your perverted voyeurs of local public officials are in jail, and you are alive.
* Moving on. If this means that you have to do something drastic like changing your place of residence or something mild like changing your hairstyle, then go for it. Just always remember that life must go on, you were a victim but you cannot be a victim forever, and that it is other people's problems if they see you as anything less than the worthy person that you are.
In the end, your life should never be ruled by one mistake brought by man's inappropriate use of surveillance cameras. Life is yours, take it!

When did they start putting surveillance camera everywhere in North America?
I am wondering when did Canada and America start putting surveillance camera everywhere on the streets? Did it start in the 80s,90s or 20s?
I personally don't like this idea.
I like the old 70s-90s times so much.
It picked up in earnest after 9/11, in public areas anyway. Private industry and common areas of apartments, condos, hotels started a bit after that. Places like 7-11, etc started back in the late 70's early 80's.

The Quarter Inch Cartridge tape is basically a magnetic tape technology which was brought in by 3M in the year nineteen seventy two. The width of the QIC tape is one quarter inch and the length is between three hundred and fifteen hundred feet. The Quarter Inch Cartridge (QIC) tape writes the data in a mode which is known as the serpentine mode. In this mode the tracks in the QIC tape change their direction by switching their heads. The Quarter Inch Cartridge (QIC) tape has been widely used right from its release and it has also made many changes in its format. The "little ones" could be VHS-C (analog), Hi8 (analog), Digital8 (digital), miniDV (digital) or even something else. They are all different sizes and shapes and for the most part are not interchangeable between the different camcorders.

British justice system is a complete joke.?
is it just me or is anyone else sick to death of hearing about the HUMAN RIGHTS of criminals, what about the human rights for the victims. The fact that well known and wanted terrorist immigrants can sue the british goverment, and even sue us using leagal aid..what a joke... think the goverment should be looking at sorting this out before we start to get vigilantism again. An old person can be victimised day in and day out, because his face was disfigured from fighting during WW2. were talking eggs being thrown at him in the street, people urinating on his doorstep, posting pieces of burning paper through his letterbox... police do nothing.. and when he puts up a cctv camera he is now getting sued and being accused of being a pervert for filming teenagers..worst still some braindead judge actually ruled in the yobs favour!!!! HARRY BROWN was not a movie, its a documentry.
YES - but human rights are basically a good thing - without them - well heaven forbid.
But the old gentleman war hero, that is disgraceful what the ignorant yobs are doing. But someone should help him to be pro-active and contact the press, local TV etc and get him well known in the area as a hero, not as a subject for ridicule.
I too am facially disfigured ( not a hero - as a result of an accident that happened when I was 16) and I have also had to suffer insults, bad looks and comments, but have never had such physical attacks as the gentleman. But , and I don't want to be seen to be on the side of the yobs, does he "provoke" them by being aggressive or anti-social himself?
If he is up to it, he could start a programme of talking to kids in schoosl about living with disfiguration, and the bullying. Education is always better than attack.

This wonderful lifesaver dates back to the 15th century. These were mainly found in poorer families where they had little or no kitchen space. They either hung them from hooks on walls or ceilings, while others used a tripod right on the dirt floor.
Some of the materials used to make these are chrome, wood, stainless steel, wrought iron and copper. Some of the many styles you could find are hanging, bar, wall, bookshelf and lighted. Restless Legs Syndrome in Pregnancy
Restless Legs Syndrome is a painful and unwelcome symptom of pregnancy suffered by an estimated fifth of all pregnant women. Women who have this condition describe it as a burning, crawling painful feeling in the lower part of the legs accompanied by irresistible urges to move and relieve the discomfort. Some have described it as a sensation of insects crawling about under the skin. Restless legs syndrome usually occurs after extensive periods of being seated and when lying down and can stop you from sleeping and getting much needed rest. The good news about having restless legs syndrome in pregnancy is that it usually subsides once the baby is born.
There is no cure for Restless Legs Syndrome and its cause is undetermined. At this point, there are only speculations as to why some women experience it, particularly during the last trimester of pregnancy. Some of those speculations include that pregnant women are deficient in vitamins or not receiving enough iron either through a supplement or in their diet.
Unfortunately most of the prescription medicines available for the treatment of the symptoms of Restless Legs Syndrome are not suitable to use in pregnancy as they may affect the baby. However the condition is often helped by changing to a low fat diet, reducing sugar and sugar substitutes and reducing caffeine, nicotine and alcohol intake. In many cases the problem is eased or helped by taking supplements of iron, potassium, magnesium, calcium and vitamins B-12 and E.
However, there are some practical non-medical treatments that can be tried to see if they will work for you. In many cases exercise will help to relieve or alleviate the pain so take some form of exercise before bedtime such as walking, stretching or yoga. However strenuous exercise should not be taken as this may exacerbate the problem. Soaking the legs in warm water will often help to relieve the pain so it is a good idea to have a warm bath then a milky drink before bedtime. An unusual remedy that will work for some people to rub a dry bar of soap over the entire legs and thigh area.
When in bed the wearing of support stockings or tights may ease Restless Legs Syndrome. If this does not work you could try sleeping with a pillow between the legs or a hot water bottle or heat pad. It is important that you try to find a remedy for the Restless Legs Syndrome as getting sufficient rest is important whilst you are pregnant.
In conjunction with the advice offered by your attending medical professional, the pregnant woman should ask about the use of iron and vitamin supplements. In addition, it is important to provide symptomatic treatment for your legs. This treatment can be in the form of massaging your legs, treating your legs with hot or cold compresses and immersing your legs in either hot or cold water. In addition, it is important to follow a healthy diet and avoid caffeine, alcohol and tobacco.
